Meeting Rooms

Our conference and banquet facilities consist of 16 rooms, including the elegant Savoy Ballroom and the picturesque Mayfair Ballroom, and the brand new events area, the residence.

Savoy Ballroom
The Savoy Ballroom offers an elegant setting with a permanent large stage 9.6m x 4.3m and high ceilings. This space accommodates 730 - 1,500.


Mayfair Ballroom
The versatile Mayfair Ballroom accommodates 320 - 400 guests.


the residence

This exclusive events space, the residence, is the first venue of its kind in Australia. Based on the concept of a private mansion, the residence is made up of a collection of four individually styled rooms - the Courtyard, the Library, the Verandah and the Wine Room - all serviced by an open kitchen. The floor to ceiling windows afford stunning views of Collins Street in Melbourne CBD, and the atrium ceiling of the Courtyard brings in an abundance of natural light. This space accommodates up to 160 guests.


Smaller Meeting Rooms
Smaller meetings are hosted in a choice of four rooms, each with its own individual appeal. Our Boardroom is located on the banquet level and can accommodate up to 12 guests. For guests requiring a room with a view, our Grand Club® meeting room can be found on level 30 of the hotel.
 


Other Features all rooms include LCD screens and drop down projectors. Wireless Internet access is available throughout.

 

Equipment

Working with our partner, Staging Connections, no audio-visual or creative brief is too large or too small: banquet rooms transformed into visions of botanica, laser and firework shows, international videoconferencing or something totally unique to your event. Anything and everything is possible.

 

Staging Connections provides a comprehensive event service, from small boardroom audio-visual equipment to large conferences and themed events. As one of the largest event staging companies in Australia, Staging Connections' resources allow us to produce successful events at all levels. The many services available to clients includes:

All equipment prices are on hire only and labour may be needed in setting up and packing down of equipment.

 

Full time audio-visual team handles all audio-visual requirements. We recommend the use of trained personnel to operate your event as they understand the unique demands of corporate events at Grand Hyatt Melbourne and will assist you in ensuring a professional presentation. An hourly basis charge applies for audio-visual staff.
