Overview
Our conference and banquet facilities consist of 16 rooms, including the elegant Savoy Ballroom and the picturesque Mayfair Ballroom, and the brand new events area, the residence.
Savoy Ballroom
The Savoy Ballroom features 7.5-metre ceilings, column-free visibility and the flexibility to be divided into three major rooms with four additional breakout rooms attached. Technical support for the Savoy Ballroom is state-of-the-art with complete conference and concert sound, house and theatrical lighting, stage with fixed proscenium arch, electrical curtains, projection screens, fly towers and a comprehensive audio-visual room.

Mayfair Ballroom
Mayfair Ballroom is known for the room's glass atrium which can rear project images and is ideal for black tie functions, conferences and meetings. The Mayfair Ballroom features split-level design for ease of viewing while allowing it to be easily divided into three very attractive meeting rooms. The art deco inspired interior makes Mayfair the perfect venue for intimate functions.
Smaller Meeting Rooms
Smaller meetings are hosted in a choice of four rooms, each with its own individual appeal. Our Boardroom is located on the banquet level and can accommodate up to 12 guests. For guests requiring a room with a view, our Grand Club® meeting room can be found on level 30 of the hotel.

Grand Hyatt Melbourne's new events venue, the residence, is the first of its kind in Australia. A private mansion concept with home style service, the residence offers guests the feeling of attending an event in a good friend’s home.
Located on Level 8 of Grand Hyatt Melbourne and covering more than 643 square metres the residence combines luxurious décor with the latest audio-visual technology. The specialised team of hosts and chefs ensure guests enjoy innovative and contemporary cuisine with genuine, dedicated service. the residence offers a premium, personalised venue for a variety of events including VIP conferences, dinner parties, cocktail parties, weddings and product launches.
the residence is an impressive collection of five individually styled rooms opening onto a stunning Courtyard, beneath the stunning atrium, overlooking Collins Street. Booked in it’s entirety, the residence can cater for up to 450 guests.
Courtyard the largest area within the residence. The 200 square metre enclosed atrium features natural light and evergreen trees. This area is ideal for dinner for up to 120 guests, a cocktail function or stand-up buffet up to 250 guests.
Kitchen the unique feature of the residence. The 135 square metre open plan kitchen faces the Courtyard with floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The Kitchen is designed around a home style fit out with commercial capabilities and will serve all meals for guests. The Kitchen is ideal for intimate cocktail parties and standing working lunches.
Wine Room an 82 square metre room situated next to the Kitchen with views over Collins Street. The Wine Room features a spectacular wine wall and is the perfect venue for board meetings, smaller dinners and tastings. The accessibility to the Kitchen enables guests to watch chefs prepare the food through the glass floor-to-ceiling wall.
Library an 82 square metre residential-style room featuring a library of leather bound books, creating the perfect atmosphere for meetings, intimate lunches and smaller get togethers for up to 40 guests. Adjoining the foyer, it is easily accessible for break outs from the main areas.
Verandah 144 square metres, opening onto The Courtyard. The room can accommodate 80 guests for dinner or 120 for cocktail parties and features a fully functional fireplace. French doors open onto a balcony overlooking Collins Street, affording fresh air and natural light. The Verandah is the perfect space for conferences and parties in any season.
Other Features all rooms include LCD screens and drop down projectors. Wireless Internet access is available throughout.
